Local lore has it that famed pioneer Daniel Boone’s family settled on the Yadkin River when he was a teenager. This park’s namesake cave is thought to be one of his favorite hangouts. In addition to its rich history, the park features the state’s tallest Eastern Cottonwood tree, more than thirty species of wildflowers, and a 1700s-style cabin.
