Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina Parks & Recreation Guide

Are you seeking an opportunity to experience the great outdoors in Fuquay-Varina? Check out our guide to the best parks in the area.

Fuquay Mineral Spring Park

This historical park is an integral part of the town’s history. In1858, Farmer Fuquay uncovered the spring that currently anchors this park. It was later turned into a tourist attraction, which brought thousands of people to the area. A town grew up around the springs to service the many visitors, and that town was Fuquay-Varina. It’s easy to see why so many traveled great distances to visit this place. It’s beautiful, and definitely worth a stop.

Carroll Howard Johnson Environmental Park

Walking the tree-lined trails of Carroll Howard Johnson Environmental Park is a great way to calm your nerves and relax. Special events at the park’s amphitheater are a popular attraction, as are the rustic antique buildings.

Fuquay-Varina Downtown Dog Park

This 8-acre park has areas for small and large breeds, and dogs are free to run around without a leash. There’s plenty of shade here, and the park is clean and well kept.
